Eating geometry

Welcome everyone to my first entry!

As I said in my introduction this blog will focus on the relationship of geometry with food and how elementary students can learn it using and elaborating food so, who said that mathematics, in this case geometry could be tasted, well dear students we are right.

Through geometry we can create figures using edible elements such as jelly beans or pieces of fresh fruit (grapes, cubes of watermelon, pineapple, ...) to create geometric figures as we can see in the following photos, in which the student in addition to learning the various geometric shapes and work on their formation can use creativity with just toothpicks and ... food!!!

And of course, we will finish the class tasting our geometric shapes, so we can substitute the toothpicks for salted cracker sticks! Fascinating, isn't it? as you can see in that picture ↓ 😉
